Specialized Staff

All individual and group training curriculums, job preparation, and job coaching is facilitated by or with direct oversight by clinical professionals with experience across disabilities and maintain backgrounds in psychology and education and qualifications such as:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)

  • Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBAs)

  • Limited License Psychologists (LLP)

  • UCLA PEERS Certifications in Adolescent and Adult Social Skills Curriculums

 

Our staff also have unique skills in providing job coaching and employment support on the job due to their educational, clinical, and experience-based qualifications.

 

Our staff in currently in training to obtain recognized employment support credentials:

  • Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE). This nationally recognized certificate ensures those working with individuals providing job coaching and employment services have been trained in models of employment; values, ethics, definitions, and philosophy of community employment; self-determination and participation in the employment process, emphasizing the individual's strengths and interests; rights and responsibilities of individuals in community employment; services and history of community employment in Michigan; funding options for community employment; information about consumer protection and advocacy and legal obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); relationships development with businesses; universal supports and design; and more.

  • Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP). This credential provides extensive training in integrated employment services and customized employment. The CESP certification is an ongoing education process which requires rigorous training and examination with demonstrated competency in individualized assessment and employment and career planning; community research and job development; workplace and related supports; and ongoing supports. The CESP is supported by the Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE) which focuses on inclusive employment and career advancement opportunities for people with disabilities.
